Summary: this website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We handle emails people send us, business details of our partners, and campaign data from our own advertising accounts. Information we receive from Google APIs is used only to report on and manage Google Ads accounts that we operate ourselves. We never sell it, and we pass it to no one other than the hosting providers that process it for us, or where the law requires it.
1. About us
Mediagrowthx (“Mediagrowthx”, “we”, “us”) is an independently owned performance marketing business. We run the website at www.mediagrowthx.com and an internal software tool, the Mediagrowthx platform, which we use to report on and manage our own advertising.
We are the controller of the personal information described here. Privacy questions and requests go to support@mediagrowthx.com.
2. Who this policy covers
- People who visit this website.
- People who email us, and the individuals we deal with at advertisers, affiliate networks and publishers.
- Campaign data produced by the advertising we run.
- Information we obtain from Google services through the Google Ads API, which is covered in section 5.
3. What we collect
What you send us
When you email us we receive your name, your email address, the organization you work for and the content of your message. If we work together, we also keep the business contact details, agreements and payment information that the relationship requires.
What the website records
This website consists of static pages served by Cloudflare, our hosting and content delivery provider. Serving any web page involves processing technical data: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. That data is used to deliver and protect the site and to produce aggregate, cookie-free statistics, such as visit counts, that do not identify anyone.
There are no user accounts, no forms and no advertising or cross-site tracking technologies on this website.
Campaign data
When someone clicks one of our ads, the advertiser or affiliate network usually records a click identifier so that a later sale, lead or install can be credited to our campaign. The conversion reports we receive contain those identifiers and the time, type and value of each conversion. They do not contain the customer’s name, contact details or payment information, and we make no attempt to identify individuals from campaign data. Where we work with publishers, clicks on the tracking links they use are recorded in the same way, by the tracking platform that issues the link.
4. Why we use it
- To answer inquiries and manage our relationships with advertisers, affiliate networks and publishers.
- To plan, run, measure and improve our advertising campaigns.
- To calculate, check and reconcile payments.
- To run, secure and improve this website and our internal tools.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, ours are: our legitimate interest in operating and protecting our business; the performance of a contract with you or your organization; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where consent is required.
5. Google user data
The Mediagrowthx platform, described on our Platform page, connects to Google through the Google Ads API. This section describes how information obtained that way is handled.
Accounts we access
The platform accesses only Google Ads accounts that Mediagrowthx itself owns and operates for its own advertising. The owner of those accounts authorizes access through Google’s OAuth 2.0 consent screen. The platform is an internal tool. It is not available to the public, and we do not ask clients, partners or visitors to this website to connect their Google accounts to it.
Data we access
With the Google Ads API scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords), the platform can read the following, and change the settings among them:
- Google Ads account identifiers and account structure;
- settings of campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and negative keywords;
- budgets, bids and targeting settings;
- approval and policy status;
- search terms reports; and
- performance statistics, including impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value.
We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts or any other Google product.
What we use it for
Two things only: reporting on the performance of our own advertising, and creating, changing and pausing our own campaigns. We do not use Google user data to profile individuals, to target advertising at individuals, or for any purpose unconnected with operating our own Google Ads accounts. We do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Storage and protection
Data retrieved through the API is kept in a private database that only we can reach. OAuth tokens and API credentials are stored securely, never appear in public code and are never given to third parties. All transfers use encrypted connections.
Disclosure
We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer it to advertisers, affiliate networks, publishers, data brokers or anyone else. The only exceptions are infrastructure providers that host our systems and process data for us under confidentiality obligations, and disclosures the law requires.
Retention and deletion
Report data is kept for as long as it is useful for analyzing our advertising and is deleted after that. The access granted to the platform can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; once withdrawn, the platform can retrieve nothing further and the stored tokens are deleted. To ask for data already retrieved to be deleted, email support@mediagrowthx.com.
Limited Use
Mediagrowthx’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Cookies
We set no advertising, analytics or preference cookies on this website. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser does not affect how this website works.
Advertisers’ websites that our ads lead to have their own cookie practices, set out in their own policies.
7. When we disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only to:
- service providers that host our website, email and systems and act on our instructions;
- advertisers, affiliate networks and publishers, as far as needed to attribute conversions and reconcile payments, which means click identifiers and conversion records rather than visitor identities;
- professional advisers, when necessary; and
- authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Google user data is subject to the stricter rules in section 5.
8. How long we keep it
Emails and business records are kept for the life of the relationship and for as long afterward as tax, accounting or other laws require. Campaign and report data is kept while it remains useful for analysis. After that, information is deleted or made anonymous.
9. Security
We protect information with reasonable technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it, and strong authentication on the accounts we depend on. No system can be guaranteed secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you where the law requires us to.
10. Transfers between countries
We work online and use service providers in more than one country, so information may be processed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on appropriate ones, such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms.
To exercise a right, email support@mediagrowthx.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify who you are, and we will respond within the time the law allows. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
12. Children
This website and our services are meant for businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
13. Updates
When our handling of information changes, we will revise this page and its effective date. Changes that affect how we use Google user data will be published here before they take effect.
